Krugman is a tool
Paul Krugman is nothing more than a voice for the Extreme Left Socialist Democrat party that tries to nothing other than incite anger towards the conservative majority of this country. His latest Op-Ed piece in the New York Times he only propigates the angerof the left by not telling both sides of the story. Listen to how he phrases his statements.
I admit it: I had fun watching right-wingers go wild as health reform finally became law. But a few days later, it doesn’t seem quite as entertaining — and not just because of the wave of vandalism and threats aimed at Democratic lawmakers. For if you care about America’s future, you can’t be happy as extremists take full control of one of our two great political parties
Where is the mention of the vadilism of the left? Michelle Malkin has a great peice today outlining the hypocricy of this stance that Krugman and other are taking.
Yet, the claims that Tea Party activists shouted “nigger” at black House Democrats remain uncorroborated. The coffin reportedly left outside Missouri Democrat Rep. Russ Carnahan’s home was used in a prayer vigilby pro-life activists in St. Louis protesting the phony Demcare abortion funding ban in President Obama’s deal-cutting executive order. Videotape of a supposed intentional spitting incident targeting Missouri Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver at the Capitol shows no such thing. Cleaver himself backed off the claim a few days later. He described his heckler to the Washington Post in more passive terms as “the man who allowed his saliva to hit my face.” Slovenliness = terrorism!
Remember right here in Denver the right was blamed for the Vandalism of DNC office in downtown Denver. But later reports revealed that it was an extreme leftist/anarchist, that was frustrated with the Dems not being extreme enough.
*In September 2009, supporters of Colorado Democrat Rep. John Salazar falsely accused a town hall protester of hurling a death threat at the congressman. Liberal blogs again disseminated the angry Tea Party mob narrative. A week later, the local press quietly reported that Grand Junction police had investigated the incident – and determined the claim was “unfounded.” A police spokeswoman revealed that “[p]eople who witnessed the interaction between the man who made the complaint and the suspect confirmed they never heard any direct threats made regarding Congressman Salazar; the witnesses included a Grand Junction cop “in close proximity when the interaction took place.”
*In late August 2009, as lawmakers faced citizen revolts at health care town halls nationwide, the Colorado Democratic Party decried a vandalism attack at its Denver headquarters. A hammer-wielding thug smashed 11 windows and caused $11,000 in property damage. The perpetrator, Maurice Schwenkler, turned out to be a far Left nutball/transgender activist/single-payer anarchist who had worked for a SEIU-tied 527 group and canvassed for a Democrat candidate. Nevertheless, State Democrat Party chair Pat Waak continued to blame “people opposed to health care” for the attack.
That’s all I have to say. What do you have to say?

FOXNews.com: Anti-Tea Party Web Site Part of Scheme to Funnel Funds
By Joseph Abrams
- FOXNews.com
A new Web site targeting the tea parties is a part of a complex network of money flowing from the mountainous coffers of the country’s biggest labor unions and trickling slowly into political slush funds for Democratic activists.
A seemingly grassroots organization that’s mounted an online campaign to counter the tea party movement is actually the front end of an elaborate scheme that funnels funds — including sizable labor union contributions — through the offices of a prominent Democratic party lawyer.
A Web site popped up in January dedicated to preventing the tea party’s “radical” and “dangerous” ideas from “gaining legislative traction,” targeting GOP candidates in Illinois for the firing squad.
“This movement is a fad,” proclaims TheTeaPartyIsOver.org, which was established by the American Public Policy Center (APPC), a D.C.-based campaign shop that few people have ever heard of.
But a close look reveals the APPC’s place in a complex network of money flowing from the mountainous coffers of the country’s biggest labor unions into political slush funds for Democratic activists.

Adams County Lincoln Day Dinner
*** Updated 4/29/2009 ***
This last Saturday I had the opportunity to attend my first political event, other than the Tea Party, and I had mixed feelings and expectations going into it. This event

Brian T Campbell and State Rep. David Balmer
was for the Adam’s County GOP, mainly a get together for the local and state politicians and their constituents, as well as being a fundraiser for the Republican efforts in their county and the state of Colorado.
At first I was probably one of the first non-volunteer to arrive to the event, my eagerness to cover the event got the better of me. Of course my name wasn’t on the list, and I somehow got wrangled into paying $50 for the meal, even though I was initially told I could get in free. ***note/update, I was refunded the money last night, did apologize for the confusion.*** It was the typical banquet, items for raffle were lined down the hallway, as well as several tables for the local politicians, where they were able to stump a little, in hopes of gaining the GOP’s support for the upcoming elections.
One of my main goals in going to the event was to follow up on the success of the Tea Parties, and to see how, if any of the momentum was being carried over. So I started talking with the volunteers to get their impressions of the event. Of the ten I spoke with, not one was at the tea party. All stating that they wanted to go, but all had to work. A common sentiment, I’m finding, from most hard working Americans in this area. (by the way, I feel if the Tea Party was on a weekend, instead of a weekday, the numbers would have been tripled) I had one guy tell me that he thought it was a stupid thing to do, and that no good can come of it.
He continued to say that, he chickened out in going to it, but wouldn’t have gone because, “the people that went, don’t understand what the original Tea Party was about. The first one was about Civil Disobedience, and this one was just about screaming at a building.” Personally that person is an idiot. He’s totally missing the point.

Campbel speaks with Dana West, a local Fund Raiser
I continued to talk with the volunteers, I asked the question several times, “What’s wrong with the Republicans?” Several responses were, “Nothing at all, the media does whatever it can to give us a bad name.” “The GOP is a good organization, but the country is steeped in hero [Obama] worship.” “The countries mindset has shifted, and we’re really behind the 8-ball.” “We need to educate the people why the GOP, is really on their side.”
All very interesting comments, but I do agree most with the idea that the mindset of America is shifting, and the GOP may be a little behind the times. I asked one volunteer why there is no facebook or twitter or myspace for the Adam’s County, his answer was that it’s not needed. The political campaigns shouldn’t be ran on technology. This was a trend at this party. But I will point out that the sentiment of rejecting technology did in fact come from the older generation.
However, when talking with the younger GOPers, they acknowledged, that they are trying to catch up to technology. And even today, www.adamscountygop.com is not up to par. Supposedly, the new launch, was supposed to be launch that night, and if what’s up and running now is it… Well let’s just say, they’ve got a lot of work to do.
My outlook on this event did start to turn when I got to meet some of the local and state politicians, notably, Brian T Campbell, the organizer of the Denver Tea Party. I had a good conversation with Bob Beauprez, by the way I picked up his book, The Return to Values: A Conservative Looks At His Party. Tom Tancreado, was there,
which the banter of Bob and Tom was quite amusing and made for a good night.
As the dinner got started, everyone took their seats, and I realized that I was not actually given one. So I stood for a while without one, but it worked out, I was able to get close up eaves dropping of many converstaions. With a majority resting on the utter frustration of the local, state and national GOP, and the very clear shift away from their values. One notable business man said, “I didn’t give thousands of dollars for these centrist, who posed as Conservatives, to go up to Capital hill and screw us out of our money. They’ve managed to raise taxes, I’m pissed off.”
He continued, “These RINOs [republicans in name only], had better wake up if they know what’s best for them. What, do they think the the Tea Parties were a fluke? These, A#$***** had better get their thumbs out their butts and listen to what we have to say.”
So I piped in at that moment and asked what would happen if they don’t listen. “They’ll face me I’ve given thousands of dollars to the GOP. They’ll start to face other people that are fed up with this nation going to hell in a hand basket. We’ve moved so far away from the morals and values that the majority of the US was founded on, that I’m not sure we can ever come back from that.” ***My feeling about this guy was that he’s full of himself. I was told by one GOP organizer, after I posted this article, that noone in Adam’s County give thousands to the ADCO GOP, on a regular basis, which confirms that guys just a blowhard trying to pump himself up at the event.***

Beauprez siging his book,
I did ask Bob Beauprez how we can turn the country around, “Well, the country should read my book, I’ve outlined many values that we need to turn back to. And Agenda For America, is what I call it. Fiscal Discipline, Security of our Borders, a commitment to the US Economic Dominance. Those kinds of things…. The Tea Parties are an excellent case for the politicians to start listening to the people, and the people are screaming for them to return to the values that made this country what it is today”
There were many other highlights to the evening. The three people that I took notice of were, Dan Caplis, the keynote speaker, Senator Shawn Mitchell and Senator Josh Penry. Caplis, who I will support for Senator, should he run made an amazing speech. I’ll give highlights of that is a later article.
Sen. Mitchell was a great Master of Ceremonies, funny witty and seems to be a strict conservative. Then Sen. Penry who I had a few moments with, a charming man, devoted to the conservative causes, and unapologetic for his stances. I asked him if he was able to come out and see the crowds on the 15th, he said that regrettably no, “I was in the budgetary cut meetings during that time. It was great though, we could hear the crowd, which was impressive since those are marble walls that the sound has to go through, but I was going over one line of contention. Right then, we heard the crowd get really loud, I turned to the other guys and said, ‘See, I think they want us to cut this line.”
He assured me that if I need anything, I can give him a call… “I mean that.” I put this here, cause I want it documented… (Actually I do need a job Sen. Penry, so if you can help…) but I digress.
Overall it was a great night. Once my initial frustations subsided and I spoke with reasonable people and politician, I enjoyed myself. I was able to meet some great people, that love their city and love this country, and only want the best for her.
I’m going to give you a list of
- Dan Caplis

Look forward to several other articles that will stem from this event.
Ryan Frazier Speaks at A Colorado Tea Party
In a well spoken address at the Grand Junction Tea Party, early front runner of the Colorado Senatorial Candidacy, Ryan Frazier, delivers a powerful speech. Outlining, what brought many cheers from the protesters, a plan for American fiscal conservatism. Although admittedly I still don’t know much about Frazier’s stance on issues, his background or history, I do enjoy his flair. This, and other videos of Frazier, highlight a very intelligent speaker, and my initial search into his political career show signs of hope for the floundering GOP here in Colorado.
His appearance at the Grand Junction Tea Party may have served him well. And I do would back him in a cause for a Constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget from congress, although I like that to extend to the Executive Branch as well.
Here is an article from Face The State, I’ve become fond of this website, and recommend that you follow their articles.

Face the State: The Ryan Frazier Appeal
March 31, 2009
Face The State Staff ReportThe results are in. Ryan Frazier is the Republican pick for U.S. Senate, at least according to a straw poll taken during Saturday’s Douglas County Lincoln Day dinner where 60 percent of the GOP faithful in attendance said they’d support Frazier’s candidacy over that of former Congressman Bob Beauprez and radio personality Dan Caplis. Frazier, Beauprez, and Caplis, along with Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck and businessman Cleve Tidewell, have all expressed interest in challenging Colorado’s junior Sen. Michael Bennet, a Democrat, in 2010. Trailing Frazier’s 60 percent in the informal poll, Caplis came in second with 20 percent, with Beauprez at 13 percent, Buck at 5 percent, and Tidwell at 2 percent.
Frazier, who spoke at the dinner, has been hailed as a key GOP up-and-comer to watch, increasingly known for a preacher-like cadence during his passionate first-hand testimonial calls for personal responsibility and freedom. At the Douglas County Central Committee meeting this year, women stood on their chairs shouting “amen!” as he spoke.
John Ransom, chairman of the Douglas County GOP, says people have gotten to know Frazier because he’s been actively attending their events whereas other potential candidates haven’t been as visible. At just 31 years old and black, Frazier represents a different face than the Colorado GOP is used to, especially for a high-profile statewide race.
“Normally, the GOP is a pretty hierarchical party, but this year, everyone is looking for a fresh face,” said Ransom. “People want someone who can be the future of the party. That’s why guys like Ryan Frazier and [Senate Minority Leader] Josh Penry look so appealing.”
But there are those who believe Frazier, an Aurora city councilman, will see his youth work against him. Beauprez casually explained Frazier’s appeal, “He’s a fresh face, it’s fairly obvious,” he said, adding there is a lot more to governing than that. Political insiders also question whether Frazier could easily jump from municipal leadership to the U.S. Senate in one fell swoop.
In 2008, Frazier was a lead spokesman for the Amendment 47 campaign, which sought to ban mandatory union membership as a condition of employment in Colorado workplaces. While the initiative failed, Frazier saw his name identification grow. After a liberal critic called him a “house negro,” Frazier was featured on the front page of The Denver Post and in an extensive Westword feature.
Frazier remains undeterred by critics both within his party and outside of it, crediting a grassroots and on-line movement that is increasingly supportive of his potential candidacy. “It’s not about me, as much as, it is about addressing what people care about,” he said.
Michael Sandoval, a Denver Republican, says Frazier represents growth and new leadership within the GOP. “Ryan appeals on multiple levels,” said Sandoval. “He is friendly and puts people at ease.”
In addition to traditional GOP gatherings, Frazier is also a regular at events drawing younger Republicans, including Liberty on the Rocks, a weekly bar gathering of young Republicans and libertarians. “He’s not the establishment candidate,” Sandoval added.
Much like President Barack Obama, Frazier is able to intertwine his own personal story while inspiring people to act. “My mother was my hero,” he said March 1 at a rally on the state Capitol steps. “She worked two jobs to provide for three boys. We didn’t have much, but we had each other. She instilled in me and my brothers a sense of ‘do your part,’ do what’s right, make a life for yourselves. I’ve carried that with me throughout my life.”
Denver Tax Day Tea Party Video and my thoughts on the movement
First I’d like to take a moment and thank some people that made a lot of this day possible. For our local organizer, Brian T. Campbel Sr., did an amazing job, and was able to lead an extremely successful event. And then all the other amazing people the volunteered to set this event, and upcoming events, into action. Also thanks to TaxDayTeaParty.com. http://taxdayteaparty.com/teaparty/colorado/
My Thoughts Soon:
I’m Pissed Off. Is The Kettle On?
by Peter Kelly
I expected more. And I don’t know why.
Today was a day of passionate rhetoric. Speeches were inspiring in their call for a bipartisan voice to be heard in Washington beginning on a local level. Illegal immigration, overspending, and the stimulus plan were some of the issues protested on the west steps of Denver’s capitol building where several thousand people gathered.
Maybe I expected more because it was my first time attending any kind of political demonstration. But today reminded me that change takes time and it has to start at… the beginning. Today marked that beginning.
Jon Caldera of the Independence Institute, State Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry, and Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck got loud. The crowd chanted back in solidarity.
The message was clear. A self-employed couple said what many Americans have been feeling strongly, “I’m pissed.” Their 16 year-old son has been diagnosed with brain cancer and their younger son suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. They don’t expect any handouts. They want fair taxation. They want affordable health insurance. They don’t want to be penalized for being small business owners.
Issues apart from those highlighted during the rally also have many Americans worried. Although preferring not to conduct a videotaped interview, Stephanie voiced her own concerns. “He’s (Obama) misrepresenting the country by telling them we’re a non-Christian nation. I’m not a Christian, but this country was founded on those principles and to say otherwise is not true,” she said. “He would let America be a Muslim nation, anything they want us to be, but that’s not what we are. Its the principle that we have freedom of religion, which is very important. He is intentionally undermining the United States.” Which may be a prediliction for a conflict of interests in the very near future, including the United States’ relationship with Israel.
There were, however, displays of national pride that broke the tension that comes with such sense of purpose. The family band Bubbafly Barney were front and center performing patriotic songs. Their depression-era image sweetly reminded me of a more inward focused United States. They were encouraging, too. The first time our country faced such difficult times, we had no guarantee of brighter days yet to come.
Denver Tax Day Tea Party Photo Gallery, The Signs and The People
Update: One of my pictures made on Tax Day Tea Party’s Website
With over 5,000 people showing up, according to the denverpost.com, and probably a more reliable count from the state police 7,000+ in attendance. I was able to get to the Tea Party early enough to have front row standing. It was a blast and I loved every moment. I will commentate in a later post and share more photos. Until then here’s the first round. Enjoy.
Politicians get it right! Texas Government Backs Resolution Affirming Sovereignty Under The 10 Amendment
Source: The Drudge Report
Read the Texas resolution here: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodocs/81R/billtext/html/HC00050I.htm
“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”
Perry continued: “Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas.”
A number of recent federal proposals are not within the scope of the federal government’s constitutionally designated powers and impede the states’ right to govern themselves. HCR 50 affirms that Texas claims sovereignty under the 10th Amendment over all powers not otherwise granted to the federal government.
It also designates that all compulsory federal legislation that requires states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties, or that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding, be prohibited or repealed.
